Dutch Grand Prix
Jack’s Casino was one of the major sponsors of The Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix 2024. Whilst working at JVH I was responsible for the design of everything around the Dutch Grand Prix, from poster to stands, race café to online promotion – I do mean everything!
My Role
Lead Designer for everything Jack’s Casino around the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, including:
- Creating a sub-brand to sell Formula 1 tickets
- All promotional material for in the casino’s
- Commercial/Animation for ZiggoSport
- All design on track of Jack’s Casino (incl. Ferris Wheel)
- Design of our Race Café
- Design of the wristbands for all days (Jack’s Experiences)
- Website for sub-brand to sell tickets
Why it was so special
Obviously Formula 1 attracts attention. It is watched by millions all over the globe. This project was a 7-month project, because we had to design a lot. As a major sponsor Jack’s Casino had a stand on the track (which needed design) and was sponsoring the Ziggo Sport Race Café at the beach (outside of the track). I’ve designed flags, chairs, the stand, beachflags, big 360 panels and more. As sponsor you’re also allowed to sell tickets. This was done through JX (Jack Xperiences) which was a completely new brand. So for this brand I did logo design, webdesign, promotional design and more.
A special project because the amounth of work was immense, but such a proud moment to visit the event and see it all in action!
What I’ve learned
This project has taught me that no matter how much work has to be done – if you divide it into small chunks, it becomes possible. Never fear, stay flexible and have a “can-do” mentality and the amount of work one can do is immense.
I’ve also learned to appreciate what is required to arrange a big event like a Formula 1 race. The amount of people and companies having to work together to pull it off is simply amazing and it’s so incredible when you pull it off!
Work hard, play hard. After 7 months of hard work it was so awesome to visit the event with my father. I can’t even describe that moment. My parents have been very supportive all my life and now my dad could experience the full scale of my work, which is nothing else but a priceless experience.
